1. Program 1: Millionaire, the solution and a sample datafile
2. Program 2: Rock Paper Scissors, the solution and the datafile moves.dat
3. Program 3: Word Count, a not yet fully commented solution
4. Program 4 Phrase Guess, and the solution.
5. Program 5 Connect 4, and the solution.
6. Program 6 - alas, we will only have 5 programs this semester, but the points for program 5 are broken up into 2 areas.

Be aware that some of the solutions above have the indentation messed up a little bit. This is due to the software I use on the PC to write the programs and to generate web pages. I'm unwilling at this point to do extra editing just for this. Be assured that the originals are all nicely formatted.

• You may be interested in coding standards used at Bell Labs.
• Consider using the following editors: Nedit (or XEmacs), or pine. Also check out the ddd debugger.
• To get an idea of what you might expect, take a look at the following old assignments and solutions. These programs give you examples of most of what you need to write programs in this course, as well as showing what I expect in terms of documentation.
